Summer Camps at WFA!

We are pleased to once again announce that the WFA will be offering summer camps at our location in Issaquah!

The price includes a $75 non-refundable sign up fee. A late registration fee of $25 will be added to cost of all camps one week prior to the start of each camp.

BEGINNING FENCING CAMPS

Youth: Ages 8-12 or Teen: Ages 13-18

PREREQUISITE: NONE!
Equipment is provided.

Camps in beginning fencing are designed for individuals with no or minimal experience with fencing, but students with previous experience are welcome as well. The focus will be on footwork, basic strikes and defenses, and FUN! Equipment will be provided for students and will not be shared.

CONTINUING SABER CAMPS

Ages 8+

PREREQUISITE: a minimum of two months training in a beginning saber class, or attended at least 1 camp this season.
Equipment is provided.

If your student is already taking beginning level classes or has a camp or two under their belt, and they want to continue on with their summer training, then Continuing Camps are for them! We will continue to hone the basic skills learned at the beginning level camps and in class, with focus on form and right of way. Equipment will be provided for students who need it, and will not be shared.

INTERMEDIATE SABER CAMP

Ages 9+

PREREQUISITE: Current enrollment in an intermediate level saber class at WFA or another accredited fencing school.

We offer to camps for more advanced saber fencers. Students who have previously attended summer camps but have not received official instruction in fencing should sign up for a continuing-level camp. Time will be provided for bouting in addition to instruction in tactics, timing, and distance. The week will culminate with a friendly tournament.

Students should bring their own gear. Body cords will be available for purchase if you don’t already have your own.

PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF POLICY FOR WFA CAMPS
Please plan to drop-off and pick-up campers no more than 15 minutes from the start and finish times of each camp. Students who are picked up late will incur charges at the rate of $10 for every 15 minutes they are early/late.

MAKEUP POLICY:
Makeup days are not available for missed sessions.

PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY:
Pricing for camps includes a $75 non-refundable sign-up fee per camp to confirm your spot in camp.
A late registration fee of $25 will be added to the cost of camp beginning 1 week prior to the start of camp.
Current WFA Members need to be logged-in to see member pricing.


CANCELLATIONS must be requested via e-mail. Please e-mail us at ifence@washingtonfencing.com

  • Cancellations seven days or more prior to the start of camp will be eligible for a full refund (minus the $75 sign-up fee), or you may switch to another camp provided space is available.

  • Cancellations 3-7 days prior to the start of camp will be eligible for a 50 percent refund.

  • Cancellations received with less than 72 hours prior to the start the camp (i.e, the preceding Friday or later) are not eligible for refunds or camp transfer.

WFA reserves the right to cancel camps with fewer than five enrolled students. If you have already paid the full amount, you will have the option of attending a different week (if available), or receiving a comparable training package at WFA.
